Our Platform Review Lens
Boardbuddyquivar.online is an independent information site for friends who want to play board games together without being in the same room.
People before catalogues
Our starting point is practical: who is joining, which devices they use and how much setup they can tolerate. A broad game library is useful only after everyone can reach and operate the table.
We organize guidance around platform models, the work software handles, the hosting process and access within communities. We do not declare a single platform best for every group.
What counts as a fact here
We distinguish documented product descriptions from practical advice. Where a platform model is described, we link to official sources so you can check the current requirements. Our comparison tables describe capabilities and questions to investigate; they are not numerical ratings or a claim that we performed a live audit of every product.
Game catalogues, subscriptions, device support and multiplayer features can change. We avoid quoting prices or promising cross-play without edition-specific evidence. Always confirm details before buying or organizing an event.
How we think about accessibility
Access is part of fit, not an optional bonus. We recommend testing a full turn with the actual device and controls a player uses. We do not certify platforms as accessible, infer complete support from a single setting or ask readers to disclose diagnoses.
Editorial independence
We are not a game publisher, platform operator, retailer or official support channel. Platform names and game titles identify the products discussed; they do not imply endorsement or affiliation. This static site contains no affiliate purchase links or paid platform rankings.
Conceptual imagery
Our generic tabletop illustrations explain ideas such as invitations, shared controls and device choices. They are not platform screenshots, product previews or evidence that a particular service offers a pictured feature.
Help improve a guide
If a feature description is outdated, send the page address, the relevant official source and the correction you suggest. Please do not send passwords, private room links or other players’ personal details. We cannot access accounts, process refunds or resolve platform disputes.
